Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Starting in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American businesses and families saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Every Pella® Product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. What impact will this have on you? Not only might your notice a drop in your heating and cooling costs, you can help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are specifically designed and custom-made for your home, meaning no two projects are identical. Our wide variety of products make it difficult to discuss pricing without first considering your needs, wants and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it helpful to send out a Pella sales representative who can provide you with a quoted project price once they have seen the project site itself. To accelerate the process, your Pella® sales representative is prepared with a computer and a portable printer so that they’ll have all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has had a chance to consider the requirements of the project and brings them to life with your vision.

In addition to offering a wide range of high-quality products to select from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you excellent window and door products at affordable prices, providing you with a chance to make the upgrades you want to while building great value into your Concord area home as you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning mixture or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. Or you can make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Put the solution on a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not suggest using glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could form streaks or create a film that attracts moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses contract installers who are certified to install Pella doors and windows. They must complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are installed properly and meet Pella’s strict warranty standards. We find the best Concord-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Prior to beginning our relationship, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully protected by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your local Pella branch provides services and support that “big box” stores can’t provide. Our staff is made up of professionals whose expertise is in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Having a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and professional Pella installers means that your renovation will have the knowledge of our whole team. We frequently use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. You can easily contact your sales representative or our main office if you have any concerns and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are numerous reasons why Concord homeowners select Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella was founded in 1925 and has remained privately-held the entire time. All of our high quality windows and doors are manufactured with care and serviced by Pella’s unique Direct Sales Network. Unlike many of our competitors who sell exclusively through third-party channels, Pella has dedicated replacement window and doors showrooms throughout North America. This unique way of conducting business gives Pella clients in Concord a convenient and personal experience with the help of a local to Concord, Pella-certified team. Whether you are looking for the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a high quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
